This was a recent project we did for a lovely family in Cottam, Preston. All the furniture and worktops were manufactured to the customers exact specification by Nobilia. From concept to completion we took care of everything. When the customer came to us with their dream ideas we enjoyed designing this with them. When people think about German kitchens they often think modern. Nobilia offer a great range of traditional designs and that’s exactly what this customer wanted. A farmhouse traditional style is what they had asked us to create for them.

The first part of the building work was to strip out and dispose of the existing kitchen, flooring, and load bearing walls. Following a report from our structural engineer to give us the calculations for the steel RSJ we were going to install we ordered the steelwork from our local supplier. All the first fix plumbing & electrical work was completed. This included radiators being removed, gas range cooker, sinks and heating pipes being re-positioned, LED spot lights, cabinet lighting, sockets, light switches. We then levelled all floors with latex screed in preparation for insulated boards and underfloor heating. The whole room was then re plastered including all walls and ceilings. After one week drying time the kitchen was ready to be installed.

The kitchen specification was as follows:

  • Lucca ivory (price group 7) Nobilia furniture
  • Oiled oak Nobilia laminate worktops
  • Rangemaster dual fuel range cooker and extractor
  • Neff larder fridge
  • Neff 60cm dishwasher
  • Blanco ceramic sinks and taps
  • Comfortzone underfloor heating
  • Travertine floor tiles

As you can see below the finished project looks fantastic….
